Does anyone know if they ship to Australia. They have 4.8mm naglers on special for $95USD. Must admit I didnt know naglers came in that size.

The OPT prices are ok but nothing like the 95bucks advertised by astronomics. I think, whilst going through the ordering setup that they only ship locally and to Canada. I hope I am wrong, but I also have emailed them. We shall see.

If you click on the "terms of sale" link at the bottom of the page, a window pops up. At the very top it says "US Sales Only" in bold. I believe their ads in the magazines also state this unfortunately. It's a shame as some of their prices are very competitive compared to other US stores. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news Exfso

I got in trouble once with a US dealer for stating on this forum that I had purchased a Televue product from them.
Dealers often have agreements re distribution areas and for one dealer to encroach on anothers territory will have complaints sent to the distributor.
The moral of the story is that if you are lucky enough to get a good deal from OS, best to keep quiet about it, or you can ruin it for others when the distributor comes down on that dealer for selling outside the US.
Anyone tried a remailer like http://www.shopthestates.com/ for those US retailers that won't ship OS?
Ian.

Exfso,
I recently purchased from Astronomics but they also indicated they didn't normally ship to Australia but the guy did me a "special" favour, or so he said, yeah sure :). I ordered the Tectron Collimation Tools BTW.
Televue has a dealer distribution agreement in place with "ALL" its US vendors precluding them from selling any TV products overseas. The reason is that Uncle AL ups the price to overseas distributors in a monopoly market. eg he charges Bintel more than he charges a US dealer after adjusting for shipping and the exchange rate. This is the reason "most" US dealers won't ship TV products to Australia because its in breach of their dealer agreement and also the reason that the delaer that sold to Geoff got agitated when he announced the fact that he shipped to OZ. US dealers in the past have lost the right to sell TV products in the USA because they shipped overseas. Good Luck. !!!!!!!!!
