We had fantastic mackeral skies last night and right at the end the bottom coloured up very dramatically, necessitating a dash across the road in nightie, slippers and a shirt thrown over the top, to catch it from the top of the neighbour's driveway with no rooflines in it. I must have looked a sight!

And this morning pussy breakfasts were somewhat delayed when I spied this out of the window. It was a lovely rosy red when I first saw it but by the time I grabbed the tripod and struggled out the back door with walking stick, tripod and camera it had gone a bit orangey.
I like how the little central cloud near Venus (?) gives it a bit of detail for the eye to spot on
