Hello,

In the heart of the night falled on October 7, 2009 I had my LAST chance to take some fine lunar images. From that night on, I had no more opportunities and 8 months are now gone...

During that nice session, I could grab the south-eastern sector starting from this image portraying a very rough ground not so far from south pole.

More to follow.

It's amazing the resolution you get out. I´m comparing the details with the lunar orbiter and there are well-defined craters between only 600 - 800 meters.

The bridge between the central crater and rim in Pitiscus is to take the hat off!!

This is a job well done!!

Another very fine looking lunar image Paolo.
Looks like it would be very hard to find a flat spot to land and stay upright in that area.

Hi guys,

Thank you for your nice comments!
Indeed, the lunar SE sector should be the roughest of the Moon and I'd like to get there for a challenging landing!

Other to come are also showing an extremely rough ground.

Regards.
