A Moonlite with a DC motor for the ED80 arrived, if anyone is interested, here it is.

Doug, do you still have an ED80 kicking around? If so, upgrade the focuser! Well worth it :)

Ah new toys Michael, don't ya love em.

Just recieved a DC motor focuser for the 10", classic red...mmm they are nice, makes the old GSO look like rubbish.
Ordered it last Thursday so only 7 days all the way from the USA & 2 days of that were spent in Aussie customs...wow that's fast delivery.

It's great :) essentially the camera now sits square, with the previous (standard) focuser it wasn't quite right. It's solid! It's got that feeling it will take heavy camera easily. Having the DC motor is good too, I can remain at the laptop to complete the focus routine, without having to go back and forth to make adjustments by hand.
