Here's what I have to show for another frustrating session last night. M17 taken with the QHY8 and 10" Newt. 20x5mins with waves of high cloud passing over throughout the imaging session.

There are some artifacts in the image that the flats don't seem to be dealing with. I had issues earlier in the evening with the camera lense dewing up that I need to get to the bottom of.

I spent some time earlier in the evening playing with the paracorr spacing and think I've got the spacing right now however I need to work on colimation and check for tilt.

:) Another candidate for the imaging challenge!
Nice work Peter, shame about that cloud eh.

Thanks JJJ. Tonight looks more promising from the cloud perspective according to the forecast however the wind is a bit blustery. Too bad it's a school night.

I want to get the hang of this camera before astrofest so I can make the most of the dark skies - 59 sleeps to go!

Nice work Peter, top capture all round and good star colour, but you do yourself a disfavour curves wise ;).

Fred,
Is that supposed to be better? Not on my monitor.

Well OK, probably not, just thought it could do with more stretching to bring out more neb.

Thanks for the feedback on the image. I'm never sure where to stop with the stretching and probably tend to stay on the underdone side.

So much more to learn about processing.
