Interesting.

Definitely putting out a spiral jet which suggest it was rotating and ejecting gas.

Some shots showed no clouds at all yet it had an associated diffuse cloud around it. Suggests it was indeed ejecting a gas.

Moving around the speed of a low orbit satellite?

Or the X37 having a bad day?

I'm suggesting there was light fog in the area. I'm not going to speculate on the object at all though:lol:

I remember a similar object which turned out to be a failed rocket lauch in Russia. It could be the same type of incident. Maybe a lunch from US. Or a failed satelitte.

So far I am happy with UFO. It's and object, it's unidentified and it flying. So for now it's a UFO :)

Hi Bob & All,

It was a bunch of alien insetoids that launched a rocket. True, you can see the video of the launch here:

http://www.spacex.com/updates.php

note the giant alien insectoid in front of the camera a few seconds into the video at about the launch moment. :eyepop:

More seriously this "USS" (ie "unidentified sky sighting") was probably the first launch and test flight of the new Falcon9 Spacex rocket that occurred only 50 minutes before these sightings so it is very likely they were connected. The sightings were quite likely of the stage separation (you can also see in the video) or engine shutdown.

Assuming it was the Falcon9, that'd make it a IFO ... no?

Sanity strikes again ...

Best,

Les D

Didn't this exact same thing happen in the Northern Hemisphere not so long ago ? I think it turned out to be a rocket that went out of control.

OK, I'll admit .. it was me.. Scotty was tring to beam me up and it didn't go well. :)

Yeh, I think it was Falcon 9 as well. Gasses illuminated by the rising sun.

Well, yeah, Les. However, I have it under good authority that it was another Majestic 12/Area 51/CIA/NSA/DIA/MKUltra mind control experiment. You see, that spiral pattern was deliberately created to mesmerise anyone that witnessed it. Essentially hypnotising them so they could plant thoughts into their minds using their ultra-low frequency radio antennae they have setup out at Area 51. They're testing their systems now so that when they bring in the New World Order, they can effectively control the world's population and make them do what they want :):P:P

Hi Bob, Carl & All,

Yep you are under surveillance mate -- no doubt about it, but you haven't quite got the reason right.

You see it was these giant alien insectoids that were responsible for what happened on Jupiter the other day. They were trying to get it ignited as a second Sun in the system and then colonise Ganymede. This is if course all sanctioned by and with the assistance of NASA (hence the human voices on the video).

Just when they thought no one was looking at Jupiter and their attempt, their cover was blown by Anthony Wesley and Chris Go and this latest sighting in the sky that was seen last night was an insectoid intelligence mission designed to pinpoint those who blew the cover (Anthony) or have uncovered their consipiracy (you and I) but it didn't quite come off according to plan.

Seems though I have to get back into my alfoil suit and hat to block their rays again to "foil" their puny attempts to track us down ...

Attached photo is of man in an alfoil suit. It blocks their rays and mind probes (oh no, not more probes) just like the one I'm wearing right now and I'd suggest you make one and get straight into it or goodness knows what havoc they'll wreak upon us.

Best,

Les D

when I first saw it I thought it was a rocket jettisoning it's fuel but now modern science tells me it's aliens.

kerosene must have some supernatural properties, it can warp time and space glow so powerful that it can be seen in 3 states over 1000km in distance... Oh yeah and bring down sky scrappers. Why aren't we running our power stations with it?

Rob, I think the kid needs another layer of foil.

At the moment he isn't too pleased -- they must still be able to get through a one sheet application.

You are all getting worked up over some swamp gas

I agree that the insectoid next to the rocket is pretty huge though.:eyepop:

Given that these spiral things seen in the sky seem to be space rockets jettisoning whatever bit it is they throw away, is there any web site that monitors all launches? I want to get a photo if it happens again - my very own UFO photo LOL!

I did sign up for the Spacex newsletter as they say they are having 3 launches next year.

ROFL.
Thats one hell of a weather balloon bouncing off swamp gas reflection of venus through the sun glare flourescence.

And @ Joe Smith - +1 mate, spot on.

Hi Joe & All,

Hmmm ...

I know this is all a bit ex-post facto several days down the track when the story has already rolled over, kicked its little feet in the air and prepares to draw its final breath before going to the great spike in the sky, but "Bad Astronomer" Phil Plait had a few words to say:

http://blogs.discovermagazine.com/badastronomy/2010/06/05/oh-those-falcon-ufos/

about Mr Moffett's mammoth contribution to this matter as reproduced above by Joe from the ABC here:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/06/05/2919095.htm

... and the ABC couldn't even get the spelling of Geoff Wyatt right !

Spot-on Phil !

Why these sorts of silly sausages get so much air-time is utterly beyond me. Actually I do know why ... they've got the word "research" in their name. That means they're serious, sober scientific types who can be relied upon for a credible, balanced reporting of the facts and a sensible conclusion.

Oooo look, there goes a pig gliding past my 2nd story window ...

Best,

Les D
