The topic this month is: "Pets"

This thread is only for posting your entries and any comments you'd like to make about your own photo.

As usual, one entry per person and the image must be your own work.
Normal forum rules and image size applies.

The image doesn't necessarily have to have been taken this month but we do encourage you to go out and enjoy the challenge.

The winner of the poll, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic.

Good luck and good shooting (figuratively speaking).

Rather than miss out again, here's one of Billy from a couple of years ago when we lived in town. We'd take him down to the park for a run, which you can see he loved.:) He runs all day now, around the farm... just because he can!

Minoes and Spock;
The first cats we got when we returned to Oz back in 1986.
Minoes ( grey one) had a bit of eye trouble, hence the darkened left eye. Her name came from a fictional character in a book my sister read ( my sisters cat) . Spock's name came from my love of Star Trek and the fact she ( yes) had spiky fluffs on her ears! Minoes lived to the age of 19, however Spockje passed away after choking on a bird bone ( we suspect) at around the age of 6:(.
The image was taken with a film camera and the print scanned into the puter.

Warwick and I are the proud owners of six feline felons. This is our (then) year old Cornish Rex, Master Yoda, who I drove to Wollongong to collect (a 2,000 km round trip) says next time just to post him!

Our Border Collie Alf decided to chow down on a bee and his whole head blew up to make him look like a bull terrier for a day!

I spent over an hour photographing my friends pet Tarantulas the other night. He has at least half a dozen of them in separate glass tanks. If this one had got me like she was trying to do, I would be in hospital for the next eight weeks.:scared2:

Can't beat Barry's mates tarantula, although the second son gets pretty scary sometimes :eyepop:.

Here he is with a pair of new editions to the family. Taken about 14 months ago... there are only so many photos you can take of your chickens .

My beautiful girl, Starex Bellatrix Carina, or Bella for short.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get a shot of her with her brother Starex Rigel Kentaurus.

I've always loved this photo of our original 3 hens (the gray one in the back is an ex-chicken... it has ceased to be), it looks like they are saying "What the..."

I hope you like it,
Anne-Louise
