On a cold and frosty morning, first light bathes the scene as a lonesome wave comes crashing onto the shoreline of Lake Wanaka.
My thirst is endeavouring to capture that special light. Whether it's starlight in the form of tiny pinpoint stars, or the starlight of our precious Sun at sunrise and sunset.

A lovely composition with exquisite lighting Humayun. A very clever choice of shutter speed – long enough to show the exhilarating motion of the in-bound breaking wave, yet the outer “standing” waves retain their form. Nice.
Cheers

Very nice image, Humayun. The hazy patch on the mountains draws my eyes to it.
When I look at it I want to see more at both sides. I know it would be impossible with the wave, but you could still try stitching panoramas :)
I use PTGui and it does almost everything automatically.
Cheers,
Alex

Wonderful shot Humayun. Makes me feel very tranquil (which one wouldn't feel if you fell in that water - 10 degrees I suspect?)
Fabtastic H.

So when is Master Class, I'll book a front row seat. :D
Cheers

Tony,
Cheers!
Dennis,
Thanking you, sir. 'twas a lovely morning, as they all typically are when you're behind a lens!
Alex,
Cheers!
To be honest, panoramas scare me! Something to bear in mind with static objects in the future, though. Thanks!
Leon,
Thanks, matey, appreciate it. : )
Rob,
Thanks!

Ric,
Really appreciate the comment -- thank you! I have to extend my thanks to New Zealand, without which, these images wouldn't be possible. : D
I'm not good enough for master classes or anything like that. Maybe one day, though! The goal is to run photography tours and live off that. That'd be a dream come true.
Jen,
Thanks! We can talk photography at Snake Valley. : D
Thanks, all!
