Hi all...
Looks like i "let the smoke out" of the fan on my 12-inch GSO dob. Looking for a replacement. Does anyone have one i can buy from them, or know of anywhere (preferrably in Sydney) which stocks them???
Thanks
Davin

Try the North Rocks Computer Market. Every Sunday 10am-3pm Muirfield High School, Barclay Road, North Rocks, Sydney.
They have many different fans both new and used, one of which should fit.
Cheers

How big are they? Measure across one side. I'm guessing 80 or 90mm.

D'oh....I didn't even consider the possibility it was just a standard computer part!!!... Dumb move on my part... Too used to forking out loads of cash for dedicated purpose astro gear i guess....lol
Salvaged one from an old computer power-supply....problem solved...
Thanks Chris...

Hey guys, I just got a 10" newtonian and I can see the spot for a fan on the bottom. I did not come with one.
I have a few cpu fans at home, but the ones that fit have three wires. How do you get these spinning? And what voltage do they normally like to run at?
Glad I bumped into this post.
Cheers,
Logan.

Hi Logan
The CPU fans run at 12 volts.
The 3 wires are usually Red, Black and White.
Red = +ive
Black = -ive
White - Unused in your situation.
Hope this helps :)
