12.5" Royce conical + Protostar 2ndry

For sale are the following items:

- 12.5" F/6 RF Royce conical mirror (weight 5.3kg)
- Mirror cell
- Protostar 3-vane spider
- Protostar 2" secondary mirror.

These components will make an outstanding high-resolution scope. The conical mirror is also light & cools quickly. I bought this set from IIS a year ago intending to make a planetary scope, but my plans have changed (simply because I find my main scope to be all I need for planetary observing). :shrug:

Price is $1K firm + actual shipping costs (unless picked up in Melb). Bob Royce makes wonderful mirrors and this will make a great telescope. :D

That mirror looks familiar:D
I can vouch for it.:thumbsup: It produces an excelent image.
Don't forget the great mirror cell as it won't loose collimation if transporting and very simple collimation adjusters that work well.;)
I had this in a truss tube set up at 12kgs on an early EQ6 and if you keep the focuser end lite works well for planetary imaging.
