Ha:SII:Ha:OIII Ha 3nm 10hrs bin1 20min subs; SII 2.5 hrs; OIII 2.5 hrs both bin2 10min subs.
Maybe a tad over cooked colour wise :P, but what the hell :D.
Thinking....... the Ha only posted earlier may have more "character".
A trashing welcome :P :D.
mmm, just noticed google ask if you want to download the attachment, duh, please advise if thats really annoying :mad2:

Interesting colours but the deconvolved detail is reasonably abundant :eyepop:. Looks like you have removed a few stars too?
Ahhh..another enigmatic Vanderhaven image...never know quite what to make of'em ...they kinda look wrong but kinda bloody amazing at the same time
Mike
Wow, that's awesome Fred
The colours are excellent.

Hard to find something like this anywhere. It's definately got your brand all over it. It's georgeous. Maybe take all the stars away and have two versions? Both would be equally amazing.

Gee, thanks for the great feedback Guys :D.
Dave, yep, I used the other crayon set this time ;).
H, Dr Paul, Trevor. All the stars were there to start with, in colour (RGB) but got kinda left behind as processing proceeded. I will make a starless version, but I didnt intend to squash them for this one, will have another go and be more carefull :P.
Trent. I must confess, I had a Gurus pic next to me when I picked the colours/curves, it was a bit different, but now I think its a bit bright. The watercolour effect though looks less "heavy".
Mike, I made one critical mistake right at the beginning, so yes, processing peeks through in some spots damb it, but I dont want to spend another 10hrs going from scratch, but ill get more stars back :P.
Ms Hanson . Bog standard Ha,SII,Ha,OIII (LRGB)
And mucho thanks DaveU, DaveT, Carl, Ric and Marc

That's a high impact image Fred. I love it. Rich colours, subtle hues, extremely fine and sharp detail. Wonderful. It'd be nice if there were some more red tones in there to balance the colour look of the image but then again perhaps there aren't anymore than you have shown in that area of the neb in NB.
I'm going to have get me one of those 3nm Ha filters. Fabulous detail.
That's a better image than your previous stunning version with the Meade 12 inch ACF.
Greg.
Fred, I love it.
In fact I was on the family computer when I had a look last night, the kids were around so they saw it too and they all loved it and so did my wife.
They asked about the colours and that opened the conversation up so that I could explain to them the various techniques used by different imagers.
I also took them to your website and they all loved your work mate.
So cheers, thanks for posting this and allowing me to share it with my family.

Thanks Greg, I had Russell Cromans (http://www.rc-astro.com/photo/id1188.html) (zoomed in) version as a reference and I was chuffed as hell to even get close :D.
Yes, I was a bit supprised on the diff between the the ACF and the RCOS, but then there should be :P, the RCOS has finally lately shown why they cost so much more ;).
The other secret weapons are the 3nm Ha and PME (stability required for the now-usual 20min subs on that filter) of course, it all counts :).

Cracker image Fred. Love the detail. Colours look right for this NB image. I like the few stars approach, even if it was unintentional.

Certainly an interesting pallet blend Fred, but I like it!
Maybe a tad over sharpened, but I think if it wasn't, it would then really look like a water colour painting...
Certainly some nice fine structure showing on the 'mother holding the baby' pillar.
Always interesting work!

Thanks Jase (and for the missing hammering :D).
Thanks David, at the f8 prime (2200mm FL) and croped slightly.
Thanks Marcus, less green this time :P.
Taa Paul. Sigh, its an awkward inbettween proper amount of stars and none, which draws attention to them, gunna have to fix it.
Well thats true I guess Rich, haddent thought of it that way. Im not entirely sure why the water colour effect came out that way, it sort of emerged, probably due to the background brightness.
