Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone has these and their opinion of them? Good bad or otherwise? I've bought a couple pretty cheaply (havent got them yet). Cant find ANY information at all about them. Was a bit of an impulse buy to be honest. :)

Thanks.

Hi bmitchell,

Thanks for the response. I still seem to be having trouble finding info on these eyepieces; saxon ED or Synta etc.

So it appears I didnt get quite the bargain i thought and probably just paid a fair price (2 for 50 bucks, 3.8mm and 14mm). Which is strange...they retail for 100-120 each...

Oh well, might come in handy all the same.

if you search for orion ED eyepieces you should fins some US info..virtually the same..the 9.5mm i had was ok, much better er than the standard plossl - fov at 55 deg was reasonable & view was ok for the price

Hi Dannat,
Thanks for your response.
I since found the info as you described (orion epic ED).
Although the black out is annoying and the FOV isn't as generous as my baaders, the image quality is pretty good, to my amature eye...Using the 3.8mm on saturn the other night gave me the best view of Saturn i have seen so far.
And of course, as you said, for the price...I mean...25 dollars doesnt get you much!! :-)
