Gday last Saturday I managed to visit Oxer lookout in Karijini national park and follow a couple of walking trails in Hancock and Weano gorge for a short distance. I only had limited time to explore and take a few quick pics but the time spent was awesome, such a great and majestic area its well worth a visit. At Oxer lookout there are two viewing platforms that look over the junction of four gorges, descending into the gorges is an adventurers dream I wish I could have went further. In one of the pics shows the 10-12 meter ladder you need to go down to enter Hancock gorge,:P .
I entered the park near Mt Bruce {second highest peak in WA} on the highway that goes onto Tom Price, its a great drive with epic views of the Hamersley ranges and surrounds.

Hope you get there too Humayun and wield your magic :) Yes Mike I tried to get there on sunrise but lucked out, I was hoping all week that cloud would persist and capture some nice lighting :P

Thanks for the great photos. I'm planning on being there in about 3 weeks...:D
Hi Stuart,
The Pilbara is a wonderful part of Australia and Karijini NP is arguably the scenic
jewel in the crown.
However it can sometimes be a challenge to keep all the damn flies off the lens!
Thanks for posting some fabulous pictures of one of our favorite places. I hope you get
the time to explore further into the gorges next time. Only thing you have to keep an
eye out for is the weather as some of them could get gnarly in spots if there was an
unexpected downpour.

 Cheers Baz I think the area would suit your adventurous streak.....Rob I'm sure you'll enjoy the experience, the weather is perfect at the moment although the water could be brisk :D......Thanks Gary, mercifully the flies are not to bad at this time of the year  I hope I can get out there soon again and I admit I do worry about the flash flooding risk, I have never seen downpours and storm patterns anywhere like what happens up here.
