Here's my last picture from the SPSP2010. 3 panels with the ED80 . 30x2min per panel in RGB.
Big 1:1 here (http://www.multiweb.com.au/astro/M7_ff.jpg)[3.6MB] and a smaller version here (http://www.multiweb.com.au/astro/M7_f.jpg)[2.3MB]. This time I was careful to balance the channels and not punch any holes in any stars :P I added a couple of spikes ("a la Tom") on the bright ones coz it looks cool.
Thanks for looking.

Good star colour variation (...Many DS imagers process them to all look blandly white....the fact is, their colour temperatures can and do vary....
clearly not all white here )
Nicely done :)

Thanks guys . Glad you liked the field. Not Tak sharp but still..go the ED80!
Ha!... I knew that taking care of the channels individually might attract the approving nod of 'big pete' Slowly starting to learn what I'm doing wrong. ;)

Thanks JJJ. Glad you liked it. You should try that one in widefield. Right up your alley.
Thanks Greg. Much appreciated.
Thanks Doug. There are some but you'l only see them in the big version close up. They're subtle. I use a PS plugin called Starspike Pro (http://www.prodigitalsoftware.com/StarSpikes.html). Very cool program.
Thanks Frank.
Thanks Ivo. Great work on Starwipe.

Top shelf Marcus!
Great effort with the mosaic.
Funny, I've never really imaged M7 until my first light with the new camera and it is a remarkable area of sky... think this comes down to my aversion to open clusters..
Cheers

Thanks David. An average of 3200 stars per panel and I used 3.
Thanks Paul. Glad you liked the colors. I spent a bit of time on them.
Tanks for the comments Beren.
Thanks Daniel. Starspike pro (http://www.prodigitalsoftware.com/StarSpikes.html)for the spikes. Photoshop plugin. Very handy.
Thanks Rich. Same here. Cluster are certainly not my cup of tea either but I don't mind when there's stuff around, like M16 (or M8 ;))
Scorpius is full of goodies, RGB and Ha. Stacks of nebs in there.
