As the sun relinquishes for another day, it does so with a glorious goodbye. On this particular Saturday afternoon, it left me with some of the most amazing light I have ever witnessed. The heavens were to open above Sydney not 30 minutes after this image was made.
Made off some of the finest coastline Sydney has to offer.

John,
Glad you liked it!
Barry,
Thank you!
Fred,
Cheers -- I have achieved what I set out to achieve, then.
Chris,
Thanking you! I didn't go out this weekend, the weather wasn't quite conducive and I wasn't well either.
Adrian,
That's how I see the clouds, too.
Thanks!
Cheers, all.

Shane,
Thanks, mate. Yep, the sand is that colour. See, behind me is a bit of a big hill, and once the sun gets behind there, it starts getting quite dark. So, because it was dark the light that's being reflected off the sand is diffuse light, as well as the reflection of the cloud. The diffuse light was quite soft and hence the dark sand.
Roger,
Cheers!
Adam,
Thanking you. Nice and warm colours, but, it was quite cold!
Alex,
Cheers!
Troy,
Thank you, mate!
Cheers, all.

Rolf,
I'm so glad you noticed the turquoise water! It's what makes the image for me, personally.
Thanks!
Stuart,
Thanks, mate. I'm still jealous of some of those places you've posted images from. :eyepop:
Ian,
Thanks!
Brian,
The rock on the right is not right, it isn't completely in frame. As annoying as it is, I find my eye being drawn to the next boulder, anyway, so I've accepted it.
Could this be what a Martian sunset is like (when it had running water)?
Thanks again, everyone. Appreciate your kind comments.

Hi Jen,
Thank you, it was quite beautiful, indeed. It all happens so quickly, though. There's a space of about 5 minutes when the clouds are ablaze. This was caught right at the tail end of it. Just prior to it happening, the clouds on the right were more on fire than captured here. I was a little late to the party. Still, turned out alright.
All I can say is just get out and practise; you need to learn to see the right light to photograph. Landscapes in the middle of the day are a bit of a no-no. Harsh black shadows everywhere ruin the image.
