Hi All,

Its been a while but when I got back to the "Hill" yesterday after a couple of weeks away, just had to get my "Planet Fix".

Imaged the SED's related storm on Saturn in fair to good seeing. These images are rather heavily processed to highlight the storm. Captured 5 RGB's. The storm is very extended in longitude and has faded but is still fairly well defined, have attached an RGB with the storm crossing the CM. Also attached an animation of the 5 RGB's from the session.

Hit the deck again at 4:30 AM CST to image Jupiter. Have attached 2 RGB's. The seeing was good, the SEB is still most faded making Jupiter appear very different from last apparition, there is some detail to be seen toward both poles with various white and red ovals and spots.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor

Hi Trevor, Simply Tops!, Nice animation on Saturn and very nice image of Jupiter, like the natural look in the processing. Looking forward to see more and Clear Skies.

Thanks very much Frank, glad you liked it.

Thanks for your comment Michael.

Thanks Houghy, look forward to catching up at the Astrofest.

Thanks Paul, yes, the animation seems to give the storm an almost wave like effect.

Thanks Clayton.

Thanks very much Efrain, with Jupiter I think "less is more" with regards the processing. I never touch the colour balance during processing as I rely on my histogram for colour balance.

Thanks Mike, had an even better night last night, just finished processing and with the improved seeing the Saturn storm is resolved a little better and I have more resolution with Jupiter.

Thanks Lester, this weather pattern sure is strange, up here we have been under a high pressure system for the last few days but the GFS jetstream charts show that we are still effected by the jetstream but the seeing has been pretty good.

Hi Trevor, I am still learning on the weather controlling the seeing conditions. I use to put all my emphasis on the jetstream map and star twinkle. Seems I could be putting more emphasis on when the highs are over my location.

All the best.
