For anyone looking at PalmDSC for their dob, this could save you some hassle in accumulating the parts required to complete the project (especially if you cant etch the PCB or program the PIC yourself). I accumulated most these earlier in the year (bar the Palm), and it looks as though I wont have time to complete the project until some time next year. Hence I thought Id offer what I have so far to someone on IIS to help them on their way.

I am offering the following items:

* Dave Ek board and preprogrammed PIC (~$23)

* 4mhz clock ossilator from mouser.com (~$18)

* The following from DSE and Jaycar (~$15):
- 2 x 7805 +5V 1A Voltage Regulator (Jaycar: ZV1505)
- 2 x 18 Pin Production (Low Cost) IC Socket (Jaycar: PI6503)
- 1 x MAX232 Dual RS-232 Receiver Transeiver IC (Jaycar: ZK8824)
- 3 x 10uF 25V RB Electrolytic Capacitor - 105oC (Jaycar: RE6070)
- 2 x 16 Pin Production (Low Cost) IC Socket (Jaycar: PI6502)
- 2 x 0.1uF 50V Blue Chip Monolithic Capacitor (Jaycar: RC5490)
- 4 x 1N4004 1A 400V Diode - Pack of 4 (Jaycar: ZR1004)
- 1 x D9 Plug Right-angle PCB mount computer connector (Jaycar: PP0803)
- Bag (25) of 1/4W 10k resisters (DSE: R0598)

* Palm m130 (~$40)
- The unit was purchased from eBay a few months ago and has only been charged to check that it works (and PalmDSC installed). The unit is in reasonable/good condition, the only majorish blemish is that the unit itself is missing two case screws at the top of it (came like that), but works fine. Comes with leather case, install CDs, two cradles (one serial, one USB) and two power cables.

Looking for around $70 for the above + postage.

For those interested the minimum required to complete the project would be:
* 2 x encoders and cables (around $150)
* Mount hardware (around $90)
* Enclosure for the DSC (around $5 from DSE or Jaycar)

Can post pictures for those interested.
