Hi guys. The above Binos seem like a good deal. I've seen them priced between $70 and $100. They could do with a more thorough coating but apart from that they seem like a good first Bino. I also don't see anything that suggests it has any sort of anti-glare coating either. Does anyone have any experience with these?

usually a cheap bino with anti-glare coating is not good for astronomy - as it reduces the light coming into the bino.

for $100 you should be able to get a FMC glass, check andrews site - look at theie marine grade 10x50 for 99, & the HG high grade 10x50 for $169, both are waterproof, with nitrogen so no internal fogging if using them in damp/dew conditions

Yep, that's why I mentioned that I didn't see any suggestion of it on the Tasco Binos. I'll check Andrews out. The thing is that once I pay for postage to QLD, the cost will be a fair bit higher, and likely a good chunk of the Binos total cost. The Tasco ones I can buy locally.

you will forget the postage cost once you start enjoying them..if you want to save get a cheap pair from andrews..likely the same as the tasco's, about 49 i think. If it was me i would stick with the waterproof 99 pair & wear the postage
