I have seen many beautiful images of IC 2220 but I always wondered if I could pick up the faint dust from whence it is made. Here is a completely different view of the Toby Jug Nebula with the surrounding "clay" or dust. Warning, this image has bee significantly stretched to bring out the faint dust.

:eyepop: Great shot Tom! You can clearly see the smoke from the hot java in that jug ;) Outstanding!:thumbsup::thumbsup: Couple of side-on faint fuzzies around in that shot too. Big one bottom left.

Lovely image Tom. I like the faint dust.

It's due to those darn clouds, Trevor. I likely would have gone longer but clear skies seem to be a premium!

This is strange. It seems that about half of the people can see the image but the other half can't. I can, no matter what computer I use to activate the link. Oh well, sorry. Hopefully it will work again for everyone.
Here, try this: Click on this link. It should take you to Nebulae page 8. Then click on the IC 2220 thunbnail image.

If that doesn't work then try www.tvdavisastropics.com (http://www.tvdavisastropics.com) and navigate to Nebulae page 8. Then click the IC2220 thumbnail.

Really wierd. It works fine for me in Firefox. I even remoted into my pc in Oz and went through Firefox. It brings the link up fine.
I don't know. I'm not an IT person so I am stumped. Sorry.
Here's a thought. Can some of you try IE to open my home page. My Oz pc opens the home page fine too. Maybe it's a sometimes dead link in one browser but not another??????

Both those links worked for me now. It may have been a temporary failure for just your site.
Great image. An unusual object nicely framed and composed.
Greg.
