Yeah the power lines are a bit of a pain but they can add some impact in a way. Here are some more

Warren the sky is nice but the "clutter" detracts. Sunsets are not easy shots despite what a lot of people think. You run smack bang into the DSLR's dynamic range problem - sky ok foreground too dark or foreground ok sky too bright. Solutions can involve NDG filters, selective spot exposures and some PS tinkering. And don't forget the tripod if you darken the sky with a filter and increase the exposure time. Like I did last time!

Only joking lovely photos especially the first one. They do provide depth to the photos.

Hey sometimes I wish the Powerpoles were gone I reckon they are hazardous to your health I mean you can go under them with a flouro in your hands and it will light up :scared:

Very good advise re Filters,

Look into the Cokin series of filters, the square slot in ones.

Although, if you do not have them handy you can try the below

- Use Camera raw by Adobe to fix Foreground/background exposures
- Dabble in HDR

I prefer the HDR route as you can start to introduce noise with the first technique, the benifit though is that you can create a dramatic feeling within your photos with Camera Raw. Especially with Sunset/rise compositions.

Cheers

My main work is with magnetic induction systems, so yes you are right they can be dangerous but the signal degrades very quickly. A little deceptions on behalf of the media. Fencing placed around danger zones are needed but the diminishing field is quite quick. Also like RF system floros are designed to work effectively and as a result picks up electromagentic radiation as well.

The earths magnetic field is much stronger.

Actually my qualifacations are the RF more so but dealing with induction loops for 14 years now.

Still damn good photos :D (trying to keep th thread on track)

Thanks for all the advice Guy's

I get the impression and I may be wrong that some of you think that I am using a DSLR for these photo's and I am using a Pentax Optio 33L and it doesn't have the features that are being talked about and I can't add filters to the camera my longest exposure time is 4 seconds with this camera. But it does have a filter mode I am not sure if this will achieve anything. I did use a tripod for these shots and used the Sunset/Sunrise setting on the camera.:D:thanx:

Camera + polorized sun glasses = attached photo.
