Hi all,
Here are a few images taken on a camping trip near Mt Barney last weekend. The first 2 were taken just after sunrise (trying to capture the first light on Mt Barney), and the next 2 were later in the day. There are some quite impressive peaks in the area.
Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Jeff!
This time of year is perfect for camping in SE Qld, so we will be doing a few more trips in the next 3-4 months. Should give lots more opportunities for photography!

A lovely set of very memorable photos Stephen, they look stunning! You must have done a fair bit of trekking to get the two different aspects of Mt Barney!
We camped at the campsite below Mt Barney a few years ago, the campsite that also has the Queenslander that you can rent. It was a truly magical spot.

Thanks Dennis! It's a great area isn't it. We camped at Bigriggen, not quite as close to Barney as the spot you stayed at, but close enough that I only needed to drive for a few minutes to get the sunrise view of Barney.
From the National Park carpark we had to walk for about 1.5 or 2 km to (uphill) to get the vista in the 3rd image, but that was enough of a hike as we had 4 kids aged between 3 and 8 in the group. They all did well on the climb though.

Stephen

Yes, the location is great, but I don't think there's anything too amazing about the photographic skills or equipment...just a case of getting out there and taking some shots :)

Great photos Stephen.
The Mt Lindsay shot is fascinating, I love it's shape.

Thanks Ric and Ian!
Yes, it is an interesting mountain isn't it. It's commonly referred to as "the wedding cake" for obvious reasons.
