Hi Guys,
Darkplague says I am selling this for too high a price so I am trying for a lower price. So here it is:
I have up for grabs a very used Lumicon UHC filter for $95AUD postage included. Filter itself is in great shape but the thread are a little worn down. I will supply an extra filter ring with threads (which I have been using with great success with the filter).
Let me know if the prices are too steep as they are all rough prices.

Are you going to send it to me darren, or have you changed your plans for ving?
if you are more needy, i certainly dont need to spend the money bonox :)
if however you arent interested then I'll take it if it can still be threaded on to an EP (see first post description)

Guy guys no fighting here :) I did agree to sell it to Bonox but there has been a change of plans. Due to some testing last night, I have come to the conclusion that I will not sell the filter after all (with the wife's blessings of course). The UHC was every bit as good and contrasty as the DGM NBP giving slightly differing views. If I do sell I will let you guys know. Sorry for all this confusion and I am really very very sorry....

these things happen - one of the problems with hobbies and moving house - what do you give up, and what do you keep :D

I agree guys. Thanks for understanding. They are different and yet similar. Its hard to quantitate. But I am not discounting the fact that I might still sell it in the future after more testing. When the time comes, I will keep both of you in mind.
Thanks once again.
Darren
p/s: I will post my observations after I have had a chance to extensively test all three filters. From last nights brief session the UHC and NPB were narrowband and very similar in performance. Phil (Harrington) mentioned that the NPB had an edge in contrast and the NPB showed more stars. From last nights impression the UHC seemed to have more contrast :) The same number of stars could be seen around M42. The VHT however seemed to let more starlight through and the views were hence brighter in the Orion 80ST....anyway...
