Did a quicky on Centaurus A before i could do the Eagle nebula.
Some weird stars in here
Taken with the QHY9 on the ED80. 15X5 Minute Luminance. 15X90 Seconds RGB each.

For an ED80 there is a lot of information in the image. Really good.

Martin, I think that's a great shot!
Even captured the blue tints in there.
Focus/tracking excellent.
Lovely shot, well done!

Thank you Frank :)
The ED80 is a great little scope but i have to start using my 8" reflector on galaxies more or my 5" refractor.

Thank you Frank
I readjusted my mount yesterday so it guides a bit tighter.

I like it Martin, The odd shape stars don't look like a guiding problem though, possibly something in the alignment of the luminance with RGB's?

However, for a quickie, you got ot happy with that.

Thank you mate
Looks like the luminance was a tiny bit tighter than the color and shows thru the middle part of the stars.

Thank you Doug
It is pretty hard to get the blue glow in there. (lots of tricky processing).

Thank you Daniel :)
Next year i will try with my 8"

Great image Martin, colours look good, some nice detail and process looks nice and smooth.
I use to use my little ED80 a few years back all the time for imaging and totally loved what it could do.
Great scope for the bucks for sure!

Nice work.

Thank you for your kind words Rich :)
The ED80 is a very nice scope for the money.

nice shot. Yep the old ED80 - often overlooked now but great bang or bucks - especially with a result like that. You even started to show the Cirrus extents - but i am sure the Cent A expert will comment about that (Mr repro)

Thank you David :)
If i only knew a bit more about processing images, i could coax a bit more out of it.

That's a great shot Martin

You are certainly starting to reveal the inner regions of the galaxy halo quite nicely.
