Snapped this before leaving the scope going for the night on other NGC's...

I like the result considering 50min of data. Stability was pretty good, so the raw data is sharper than I'd usually expect, HFD was 3.11 which is good for this setup.

I think I could process it better to look better considering the raw data, but not sure. Haven't got the time right now unfortunately.

Good to have something rather than nothing :)

Roger.

Very nice image Roger. Great detail through the dust lane. That dust lane will sharpen up beautifully.

Well done.

wow, thanks for the replies everyone! I'm stoked. I was expecting replies more like "you need more data", "better guiding would be good", " some more processing time would help"... :) but I'm pleasantly surprised that people are enjoying it for what it is :)

:) Yeah, it's a pic from after rebuilding the mount. It's amazing, I jagged a near perfect polar alignment when I put the lx back up on the wedge - it's so perfect I don't think I'm able to improve it if I tried.

Nice round stars, Roger. I agree with Doug, that a bit of sharpening of the dusty areas might make it pop a bit more.

Very nice work.
