Had a go at M66 with the QSI while the moon was up. Terrible gradient and forgot to do bias, and flats etc. as I was trying to get the OAG to work with the f6.3 reducer. A real struggle to get the spacing right.
Nowhere as good as Markus' shot at all but I though Id post it as I have 40 min of red, green and blue to put with it but Im really struggling with getting an LRGB shot together as Ive not done it before.

Ahh but its a start mate - a bit more data and it has potential but as you said its a bit hard battling the moon and all. Damn inconvenient to lose 2 weekends a month - i'm sweating on next weekend my self. Im heading out to Leyburn on Thursday - looks like it'll be a good night - undergrads can do without me on Friday - they are probably already cheering.

What are you using for RGB combination (or are you doing it manually in PS or similar)?

Yes, not a bad shot for only 40 minutes of data. I think you could probably sharpen up the detail a bit in PS still. The stars look just slightly eggy, but you could fix that in PS as well. Have you taken the Luminance, but not added it yet?

Seems like there is plenty of detail in the galaxy Allan. I've pm'd you a link to an LRGB combine procedure for PS.
