Woohoo ... love nebula, and these can be a bit easier to find.

Catch M42/M43 in Orion before it sets, and also M78 which is a lovely little reflection nebula, and easily seen!!

sweet I love planetaries.

Here' my list:

NGC 5873 - Lupus
Very high surface brightness PN, the challenge is finding it and resolving it as an exceptionally tiny orb floating amongst a mass of stars. Diameter is 7" and Mag 11.

IC 4406 - Lupus
Fairly bright, dumbell shaped PN. The challenge is seeing the very faint extensions stretching E and W from the centre.

OOOOOHHH, Planetary popping!

pop! POP! * * Pop! *... hic..burppp!

Sweet stuff.

If I can't go dark sky this month, I'm sure my 8" f/4 will help me chew through most from home.

Nice selection GrampianStars,.
