This image was taken at 7:30pm on the 17th April, when the Moon had a close grazing occultation of the Pleiades Star Cluster (M45).

It was captured at the Mudgee Star Party (http://www.mikesalway.com.au/tag/mudgee-star-party), using my ED80, modded Canon 40D with WO 0.8x reducer. FL 480mm, f/6, ISO 320, 5 second exposure.

Processed in Photoshop CS4.

Thanks for looking.

Very nice Mike. I had a chat with Gary on the phone this morning and he mentioned catching up with you at the star party. Sounds like the seeing was pretty good.

cheers, Bird
