Hi Guys
A 48 arc/sec planetary neb taken and proceesed with Pure Blonde influences, hence the random colour balance :P. The punks at NASA have modified the classic Hubble pallet since the latest upgrade, which makes vain emulation very difficult, I cant work out if its different filters or fancy fiddling in PS :mad2:, very annoying.
Anyway. Starless (natch ) NGC3132 Starburst Nebula in Colour Mapped narrowband
HA:SII;OIII Mapped as RGB. Ha 2hrs, SII 80min, OIII 1hr. All 10min subs Bin1 Off axis guided with an SBIG AO8 (adaptive optics guider)operating at0.5 hz Taken on a 10"RCOS RC at f9 (2275mm FL), PME mount and ST10XME in urban skies .

Pfwoah! :eyepop: Speechless! Colours and details are sublime. You're giving Hubble a bad name mate ;)
0.5Hz is what? Two corrections per second or one correction every two seconds?

Nah, an ordinary 1 correction per 2 secs, which is the same as your average external guide in this case. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you dont.

Ah huh another Van postage der stamp haven masterpiece
Yeh, cool Fred.
I recon a green/yellow look may work too
Mike
Pushing the boundaries and going where few tread once again Fred. And doing it extremely well as usual.
Love it when you show incredible detail in teeny weeny objects like this

:eyepop:WOW:eyepop:
Ballsy Fred. I've got a similar data set which I'll process soon. I do like the details you've extracted. Top "extreme" work mate.

LOL @ Mike. Stamps are now 55 cents Mike - showing your "era".
Fred - what a wonderful image, I am sure we will be seeing more of it soon ;) as it is such a spectacular result - APOD would be a good spot

Thanks Mike. Yeah, but I get caned for bright green, and it does look a bit odd ;).
Thanks Rob. The exposure time wasnt that long really to allow more detail, because of the limited time the object was in view for me, and for the 1st time I had to start imaging even before sunset :P, and blow me down, it worked well, with 3nm Ha.
Hehe, glad you liked it John.
Nice to hear from you Jase :hi:. Id be very interested to see your effort done "properly", with some decent apature .
Thanks Doug. Im lucky you guys understand the "relativity" of "fine detail" on tiny stuff .
Thanks Lester
Easy Dave, id be hard pressed to justify sending this to APOD after Hubbles latest effort, the difference is really far too huge in this case ;).

That's a wonderful image Fred. I did not know we had such a nice PN like that in the Southern Skies. Tracking looks spot on too which is a challenge at your - what - 3.5 metres?
Greg.
