Mathematical enquiry?

Has anyone heard of something called a 'Freedom Matrix', or something similar sounding?...'Free Will Matrix' perhaps?

It pertains to Mathematical Logic.

I have not heard of that exact model, but it sounds as though it may be a markov variant.

Something I wrote on the other thread (Mathematics and Free Will) got me thinking about a conversation I had with my tutor. When he was teaching, one of his subjects was Mathematical Logic, and eventually he ended up talking about some Matrix which I cannot remember exactly. The subject came up when I asked about deterministic properties and free will; he said that this line of enquiry often ends up here, at some Matrix.

I was hoping I had the term correct and that someone might know of it, or, offer the correct term so I can research it.

Sounds like an application of Game Theory.

The only matrices I am aware of in Mathematical Logic are the Truth Tables for any given logical connective.

Maybe its representing degrees of freedom (variables that can change) in a matrix.

meh - I am probably just thinking of using a markov/monte carlo process to calculate the probability of an outcome. Your issue sounds more philosophical...

Like the ol' problem of a spider hunting a fly through a set number of rooms with the spider having a 70% probability of changing rooms when the fly is in another room and the fly having a 60% of changing rooms.

It translates quite well to decision-making.

Ah first-year probability, what a shock. Thought I could sleep through it & it turned out to be the hardest course :lol::lol:
