Well it was clear and these are taken from my place 30 klms outta town.It was moist and exposures were dictated by how long before I had to bring the gear in to dry off. I need a hair dryer and that is not a fasion statement.
Lucked into a near perfect (for me) polar alignment as all shots were unguided.
All were at iso 1600 cause time was of the esence.
Omega Centuri at 60 seconds thru 80 x 400 mm AR unprocessed except for resize to fit down the pipe.

they are great shots Alex. I like the flame neb one, it shows how difficulkt it is to pick up the horsehead nebula. we had a southerly change con=me through last night so i think the guys who went to Kulnura would have been a bit dissapointed.
There has been a thread on hairdryers somewhere on the site that was eplained at great detail as top where you can get a 12 volt one. get one they are invaluable!!!!

Thanks Tony, I am using an eq5 mount that I have been tuning. Cant believe it went so well unguided, but the hand box on the lxd55 has gone down so I have to make it work for the time being.
And thanks everyone for your interest and encouragement.

Thanks for that, one problem with my site is moisture, think I will get a couple, I would like one as a permanent fitting on the 12 inch so it does not become a real bucket.
AND thanks all for your interest and kind words of encouragement.

The Eta Carina was 146 not 246 seconds but the longest was flame still fair trails at 174 seconds thru the scope, so I was pleased over earlier attempts. Time to cement in the pier.
