clear skies in Melbourne

Had bad weather all day here in Melbourne but the night was so clear after the rain. Pulled out the dob to checkout Saturn at 240 mag and thought , WOW, it looked so clear you could touch it. Plugged in the dmk 21a saw the image pass through the screen and thought wow again, this is what clear skies are all about. Anyway this is the image... Steve

So would I. Melbourne averages more cloudy days per century than Jupiter :mad2: The rest of Aus have no idea how good they've got it.

An excellent pic, it really illustrates what Saturn looks like visually at high power in good seeing.
