Star Atlas pro showed that I would be able to fit both these objects in by aligning my camera so the long axis went north-south. Here is the images.
One is processed normally the other is more stretched to show the much fainter M1-18.

Its 3 x 10 mins ISO 1600, 10 inch F5.6 Newtonian, EOS 300D MPCC and UHCS filter. I did dark, flat and bias(offset) processing in IRIS as per the instructions here

Stacking and final processing was done in Photoshop CS.
I had to get up at 2:30 am to get this shot too :)
