Last night looked very good, clear sky, good seeing, so I decided Eta carina in NB would be a nice trial for the camera.
As usual the only night I have had off for a couple of weeks and in came the high cloud. I managed 7 X 10 minute subs in Ha with a Baader 7nm Ha filter.
Taken through the Tak FSQ106ED at f5. This time the camera was fitted to the telescope with all screw together adapters.

Great shot doug, Its a good feeling when you hit the take lots of images button and they all just work. I have been fighting my system lately but just started producing decent data. :) keep up the good work and lets see if you can add some RGB into the fold, look forward to that.

Sweet image Doug.
Do you think the screwed adaptors removed your problem then?

Have been looking for an Eta Car nebula shot that looks as close as possible to the sort of striking visual image this beast was to me for my 5-day visual session in March. This northern guy misses your skies already and this was such a realistic shot. I like the high contrast, pinpoint stars and how you have made a processes image seem not processed. Art. Thanks Doug.
What is the mount you use to get such incredible stability? You state the scope and you cannot go wrong with that scope.
Fantastic work Doug. Thanks for posting the hi res link for a good look around. Its great to be able to check out the whole object - my FOV only shows the central action, but there's just so much to see in this beast.
You've made it all look so easy with this one.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. This is a big bright and easy target but always a good one to get started on with a new camera. I was hoping for all 3 NB filters but the high cloud ended that dream for the moment.
Mount is a G11 with gemini guided with a QHY5 guider through a WO 70mm refractor. On the night guiding appeared excelent but I think I need a little more work on the registration and alignment.
I don't know if the bolt together coupling has fixed my other problem until I do some more RGB and see the end result.
Thanks again
Doug
