Going out wide with ZS66 and QHY 8 from last night in Melbourne

ZS66
QHY8
5x5min subs
IDAS LPS

Image 1 - Leo Triplet
Image 2- Eta Carinae
Image 3 - Markarians Chain
Image 4 - Invert Leo
Image 5 - Invert Markarians

Not much of the fainter stuff shows. I didn't have the dew heaters on. The QHY8 still needs some tweaking. Eggy stars along edge of FOV also.

Hi Rob,
Longer subs will go a long way. Plenty of detail in the Eta Shot though (no.2)
Cheers,
Duncan:thumbsup:

Only way to go longer from here is to use H alpha...wanted to try color first...

Hi Rob,
I must admit to not knowing the capabilities of a lot of this gear. So i did a search on the ZS66 and came across this site with a lot of photo's taken with the ZS66 and Atik314ccd. It might offer you some tips. As i said i don't know enough! Anyway here is the link.
Cheers,
Duncan:thumbsup:

There is no way I could get those galaxy images here. The gradients from the LP are severe. Some nights I get lucky and the LP is not as bad. H alpha and cropping would go a long way to improving the resolution...More clear skies and time and maybe I can shoot more images. This is only a bit of fun and distraction for me....

Repros to remove the gradients using PixInsight..
