Here is the second image from last night. The image was cropped to hide some wierd stars. Hopefully fixed when I bolt everything together properly.
2nd image has 30 iterations of deconvolution .
5 X 5 minute exposure each RGB and a synthetic luminance.
Imaged with Takahashi FSQ106ED at F8 and a QHY9 with QHY filters.
High res version (1.0MB)

High res with a little decovolution (30 iterations) Better.

Appears a tad over sharpened IMO but plenty of detail for such a short stack
good one Dougie

Doug, colours are great. I think the image is a tad out of focus though. I do love the colours though.

Thanks Guy's,,, Focus should have been good although with the huge crop it does tend to show all the small anomalies in the image. Seeing was not the best but no excuses.
Yes it does look a little oversharpened and I will have another look at it tonight and see what I can do.

Overall nice colour and detail but I agree with Paul to me it looks out of focus a bit. Stars should be sharper with an FSQ106 even with the extender (mind you I have never imaged with mine in that configuration).
But the FSQ is a very sharp scope. It is also prone to focus shift with temperature changes. 2C change in temp could see your FSQ slightly out of focus especially with the extender which is amplifying everything.
Do you use a robofocus or electronic focuser? I find with my focus lock I have to have it partially engaged before I lock it otherwise it shifts the focus when tightened.
Greg.

Hi Doug,
Love the colours in this. In particular the blue, it looks so electric.
Beautiful.
Cheers,
Duncan:thumbsup:
