Fabulous image and beautifully processed.

Which filters are you using on the QHY9?

Thanks Guys, It was also my first LRGB image really too - im stoked with it.
This cooled CCD is just leaving the DSLR for dead on my first image :)

Frank: Yup its the filter set that came with the QHY. Great to learn the ropes with but sooner or later a decent set will be purchased.

Grahame.

Very nice image Graham. Interestingly you have the same small difraction spikes on bright stars as I am getting. I wonder if it is something to do with the shutter action.

Doug, are you referring to the dark spikes/lanes coming from bright stars at all?
If so I also had these on my DSLR shots, seems to be something to do specifically with the FLT-132. As it does not degrade the image at all i've never been too concerned with them :)
