Done with C8@F10. 2hrs of ISO400@5min & ISO800@5min, data. Darks, no flats. Curves & levels in CS3.

Anyway, tracking was good & focus Ok but the image centre star is overexposed. Needs shorter subs...and I guess if I modified by front filter then I'd pick up more Ha...aka...finer detail.

This is image is a little "blocky" as it is an enlarged crop & jpg conversion doesn't help as well. Nowhere near as good as Scott's image a few days back. My try just doesn't have the details.

The night sky was...poor...well that's my excuse.;)

Colours are good. Flats would have helped but not bad at all.

Thanks gents...It's such a small nebula. and it's a learning curve.

Needs more subs but for this object it's probably late in the season as it heads towards Melbourne's sky glow from around 11pm onwards.

Also the atmosphere at the time was crappy..at best. But after around a month of clouds...I'd cut out a magazine photograph and take pictures of that!

A 2nd go at curves & levels has revealed a lot more data than the original..but noise & background is all wrong. I may try layer masking...if I knew how.
