Dont know why but I went to Philip Island had clear skies but bad images, from the backyard in Melbourne I get these which seem ok.
Very nice images, esp the first couple. Saturn is a delight. :)
How did you capture these Stephen? What camera and process?

Thanks , the cam is a dbk21a color, the scope is a 12inch dob, I just let the image pass through the capture field, thats around 300 frames. Then I use registax4. The thing I dont get is these are from light polluted ?Melbourne but when I go to Philip Island for clear skies I always get rubbish results....

Really good images, are they prime focus with or without a barlow. I got similar images but not as clear as that.

Light pollution doesn't matter much when viewing/shooting super bright sun-lit objects. Seeing is the killer.
PS Forgot to add, nice images!
Cheers
Steffen.

Nice work. And like Steffen says, you can capture good planetary images from any location - as long as the seeing is good.
Light pollution doesn't play much of a role for planetary.
