Hi all, here's an image of Saturn from last night showing the current bright storm, and maybe a second fainter storm to the left of the image.

Superb images Anthony. Bit surprised that not many responses to your images of late. Great images deserve more I reckon.

Excellent work Bird,

I agree with Pauls sentiments regarding the apparent lack of interest in work of this caliber. As you know, I have been down to Adelaide, even slept right through the earthquake that they had the other morning.

These are images of great scientific value, it is just so important to capture image data on the changing morphology of the SED's storm and also on the other transient cloud features to compare with the Cassini RPWS data.

It is interesting that the cloud feature in the EZ is really only visible in the R channel and the thin crisp line that we imaged back near opposition seems to not be there now. I think the ring brightening effect at the time may have helped to resolve it.

I've been away too!

Lovely image of the storm, Anthony. Looks to be a little heavier handed in the processing than your normal efforts, but I'm sure it was intentional, probably to bring out the storm more.

Mike, yes the processing here is to highlight the storm so it will be more contrasty then normal.

Comments are always nice, but as long as people are looking at the images and enjoying them then I'm happy :-)

Hi Bird,
Another fantastic set of images. Looking at the image bottom right, it looks like another small storm just above and right of the main storm as i look at my monitor. Is this the one you guys are referring to?
I'm envious at the moment cause we are still clouded in and i can't wait to get out and try again.
