Hi All, here's my first ever attempt at Saturn taken in morning twilight yesterday while being eaten by mosquitos. Obviously need to learn a bit more about how to process for Saturn - it's quite a different beasty to Mars:P
1st and second are the same avi, the first touched up in photopaint and the second with some LR deconvolution in Astra Image. The third was taken in rapidly bightening sky hence the grain, but it shows the inner crepe? ring.
cheers,

For a first Saturn, that's incredible! I wish mine was as good! Well done.
The LR deconvoluted version looks much more pleasing (to me).. you should also give the 3rd shot the same treatment!

how much fun was that???
viewing thru eyepiece is lovely, i am yet to get the seeing for the detail you are showing.
but each step of the way, this planet is breathtakingly beautiful!!
i can only gauge my own response when i finally nail the bands and rings to how you must have felt.
Well Done!!!

Thanks for the kind words of encouragement guys!
As Mike suggested I tried running the third image below through ME deconvolution in Astra Image too - result attached. It brings out a bit more detail, but unfortunately also the grain and brightening background too.
cheers,

Good stuff Robert, Now keep these and compare them at the end of the season. I am sure you will notice a huge difference. More frames will get rid of the grain. Your focus is spot on. Just keep an eye on that collimation.
