Hi everyone,
I'd just like to draw your attention to this year's Australian Gemini School Astronomy Contest, which is an opportunity for high school students from all around Australia to use the 8m Gemini South telescope to take an image of their favourite celestial object.
We have a website (http://ausgo.aao.gov.au/contest/) and a Facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=204173206983). Last year's winning image is on both pages. Canada also runs a similar contest.
So if you are a high school student, or know someone who is and you think might be interested, please pass this along!
Thanks!
