John, A lot of people are reporting this ad because they're very suspicious of it - especially because of the one that was removed yesterday.

You might want to elaborate more about the details and story behind this, because it's a VERY cheap price for this type of scope and people are suspicious of a scam.

For any buyers, i'd highly recommend inspection first.

I've also pm'd him yesterday several times and no reply yet, so does seem doubtful that this is for real :(

This guy emailed me back saying he was no longer in Perth and is now in Portland, OR.
I am assuming this is Portland, Oregan, USA, so this post gets more suspicous all the time.

I have found a number of dodgy ads on ebay as well!
Be careful boys and girls!

Cheers

Likewise the return email i received said "sorry i am not in AU anymore i am in US where i just bought a new house thanks"

The ad sounds very much like a dud and i would certainly view it with extreme caution. I am not even sure if engineer6767@msn.com is even aware of the ads existence gathering by his response

I did an internet search for his forum name this morning.

It doesn't come up positively. He has been banned from a site and is all of the sudden registering on various forsale sites (audio gear etc) & selling like mad.

This will only happen more & more in the future.:mad2:

edit:
He was back on this site since his post yet he has not update any posts. Dodgy as.
