Here is my first shot of Saturn this season. I only got home from the Brisbane airport at 1:00am (had to pick up my sisters overseas friend) so I decided to stay up for the occasion.

As always, taken with my trusty 10" dob (no tracking :( ). I didn't record this but I think it was around 700X mag? Would anyone be able to confirm this as a size estimate. I had to scale the final shot down to 80% of the original size cause it was a bit specky.

(Note- I don't know bugger all about collimation (see, I can't even spell it :P ). I havn't fixed the mirrors up at all since I got the scope back in April. As its currently the Christmas holidays for me, would it be time for me to try alligning it all up?).

Nah, no toucam. I used my video camera and home made camera bracket. I had my 32mm eyepiece with 2X barlow, and 9 or 10 times optical zoom on the camera (I think 9X). My focal length is 1250mm.

Nice shot Chrissyo! You've got that video camera working wonders.

Have you asked Father Christmas to bring you an EQ6? :P
