This wasn't the best night but it's the best for me so far. Titan is visible while Enceladus and Tethys are quite dim. Seeing was about a seven. Taken at f29. Enjoy!

Looking good Dave,

The rings will be opening up more now that we are past opposition so there is much to look forward to this Saturn season.

Capturing good images of Saturn has been tough this year for the astronomers living in the southwest and southeast. Now things are finally looking good. The skies have cleared and the jet stream has pulled away.

I am a little curious about Trevor's remark about Saturn's rings opening up after opposition. The rings are going to continue thinning out until we reach late June or July when they start opening up again. By mid July they rings open to about the same as today. But we must say goodby to Saturn at that point as it heads into the sun.
