Kepler - the lonely crater

Hello,

After lonely mountains, find here the lonely crater Kepler.
To be honest, isn't that lonely, but its huge appearance is such to take anything else into the background.

Please note on the far left the elusive rima Suess snaking into the darkness and the rima Milichius snaking at the opposite corner with some conspicuos dome visible despite the high sun angle.
On the bottom, find the rima Maestlin complex.

Hi Paolo

A very impressive view of this often overlooked (by me) crater. In my regular visits to Copernicus I tend to drift over Kepler rather too quickly, not realising how detailed the floors of Kepler and Encke appear. Thank you also for describing some of the other interesting features in this image, there is much to see here.

Love the detail here Paolo. Just zoomed in and had a good look around - the sole small crater to the north west of Kepler shows a hint of a long swirling "canal" to its west. Or is this a hair? I'm sure i'ts a real feature - like I said, really nice detail.
