Service call

I have a 20 year old Celestron Ultima 8 SCT that is in need of a service,Slop in motor,runaway period error, and RA buttons not operating properly.:sadeyes:
Does anyone know who services said telescopes:question:
I would rather not send to Sydney as the cost of freight could be very high:(So Brisbane or the Gold Coast would be OK.:)

Talk to Bintel Ron.

My 8inch, including Tripod was $40 freight from Sydney. Bintel have a great rate with the freight company. I believe if you are sending something to them, they can arrange for the trip down to be at their special rate.

Who would you like to fix your scope? Don Whiteman??

Thanks for the info David:) I have known Don for over twenty years and I know he would do a good job as he spent some time at the Celestron Factory in LA.
I did think it would be more than $40.00 though, that's why I was more inclined to find someone closer to home.
I will give them a call soon.

Can't guarantee that it will be that price Ron, but it's worth a try. As you wouldn't be sending down the tripod, it could be cheaper???
