REDUCED QHY8 CCD camera

Hi there

This is the same camera as I advertised earlier.
I have reduced the price to:
$1650

It is the same camera as is advertised on this website:

It is an unwanted gift and has never been used. I have opened the box only to take the attached picture.

I am in New Zealand but will post to anywhere in Australia.

I am interested but have concerns dealing with someone out of Australia.
You joined this forum last month and it's a lot of money to send to someone you do not know. .

I am not interested in astronomy and this is an unwanted present that I bought for someone else.

I could have got someone more knowledgeable to sell it for me but it states in the rules that you cannot sell equipment on behalf of someone else.

As it happens there is someone interested in the camera from NZ.

Sorry to nitpick but you did not answer my questions in relation to what came with the camera but told me to contact you so you could contact someone else that would then answer all my questions. The questions were easily answered if you had the camera in front of you.
I wish you luck with the prospective purchaser in NZ.

If you had sent me a PM as I requested I would have given you the email address and phone number of someone who could have answered all your questions. As I have just said - the questions are not easily answered by me as I am not a photographer.

Tonybarry and myself and others have asked you some very simple questions either about the camera, the components or your ethos of sale procedures. These were simple and direct queries which you obfuscated and asked only for private PMs or did not answer. In future maybe the actual owner of the "unwanted gift" should be the one to join IIS and answer direct questions. If you gave someone an unwanted gift that's very unfortunate and I feel sorry for you but people do have the right to ask simple direct questions. As I said previously I hope that the interest in NZ works out for you as well as it's expected.

Kaj, I Cant send the money without checking out the Camera.

You see, which ever way you look at it, you will know exactly what you are getting, and that is money, From my end, I dont know what I will be getting, Can you show us a copy of the sales advice, will it still be covered under warranty, or is this some sort of scam, you dont seem to be very forth comming with info.
You say you purchased it for some one else, why didnt they want it?, I would like to know.

As I have said, I am the owner of the camera and this is why I am the one that is required to sell it. I have personal reasons for why I own a camera even though I am not interested in astronomy and I do not wish to share them with half of Australia. If you had bothered to keep up personal contact with me I would have explained the reason privately to you, as I have to four other interested parties.

The Moderating team have been keeping an eye on this thread from the start and have in the meantime received a few posts reported from our members.
We haven't acted till now, hoping the matter would resolve itself.
We've discussed the situation and feel the best way forward is to ask all involved to take up their queries with the OP via PM's.
