This arvo, after 5pm, Mars "might" be a naked eye object about 3 degrees North of the moon, i think i'll try closer to 6pm.

Bins would help immensely, but im wondering if it can be seen unaided!?

Just had a look with 7x50 binos and didn't see Mars.

Couldn't see it until around 19:00 AEDT, at which time the sky was still reasonably bright, about 4 deg from the Moon.

I was down at the beach about 7:30 watching the sunset. Saw Venus for the first time in a while and Mars just near the moon. The pointers were just coming out too.

Not really daylight, but certainly not dark either.

Caught it about 19:00. Faint but there. High cloud in the west might have helped?
