After driving myself half insane trying to pick between the competing merits of differing refractors I have decided to see whether fate might help me in terms of finding a reasonably priced 2nd hand refractor OTA anyone might consider selling.
I am after an APO or a Semi-APO refractor that can be anywhere between 90mm – 110mm in aperture.
Within this aperture range I am quite happy with a doublet or a triplet. Unfortunately, due to a few factors the OTA can’t however be too long (say about 750mm as an approximate maximum length).
Finally, I would prefer a solid brand - ideally a William Optics (Vixen, Televue are fantastic too) but my mind is nonetheless firmly open to any brand/scope someone might consider selling.
Please send me PM if you have anything you might consider selling. :thanx:

Please excuse any faux pa in my post as I was not meaning to suggest that other scopes like Tak's, Lunt etc are not also excellent brands

Thank you Decepticon. I appreciate the help but unfortunately this OTA is too long. I am after something which is roughly 750mm or less in length. I am still open to any offers in terms of a 2nd hand refractor anyone might like to sell.

Again - I very much appreciate the suggestions but please remember that I am after an OTA that isn't too long - so I ideally need something which is 800mm or less. :thanx:

Still open to suggestions if anyone has a refractor they might like to sell.
Happy to consider any OTA between 90-110mm provided it isn't too long.

Andrews has a new 102mm triplet APO for very reasonable money.
It looks like if fit's your needs.

Thanks Dave for the suggestion - once again it is very much appreciated but I would like to try and see whether I can find something in the 2nd hand market.

In response to a question I have had a few times I am after a refractor which I primarily intend to simply use for visual astronomy. This doesn't however mean that I wouldn't be interested in, for example, a good scope even if it were set up/more suited towards astrophotography etc.
As I have mentioned before my mind is firmly open to any suggestion.

Okay - To recap the situation.
I am after an APO refractor (doublet or triplet) which is anywhere between 90-110mm in aperture and isn't too long.
I will consider any scope irrespective of brand.
If you have any refractor which meets these criteria and you might like to sell please send me a PM.
