Here's an image from last night showing both Titan and the current large storm. Seeing was pretty good but not perfect.

Reprocessed image concentrating only on the storm region, so that's a bit sharper at the expense of everything else.

Brilliant work Bird,

The repro is very interesting, I have not previously seen a feature such as the streak coming off of this storm.

Regardless of the storm your image is of the highest quality, certainly something for the rest of us to strive for, you definitely had better seeing than me last night.

Regards
Trevor

Thanks Trevor, I believe this is visible in the animation you've emailed from last night, although the seeing at your location makes it a bit harder to spot.

Was just looking at my animation Bird and although the images in it suffer a bit from the standard of the seeing, it does show up something following the storm, sort of like a bit of an extension attached to northern edge of the storm.

Superb image Anthony. Heaps of detail present in this image. Looking for some good seeing tonight myself. Looks like you have a bit of the Seeliger effect on the rings too.

Thanks Paul, yes the rings are bright at the moment, and I guess for the next few days.

Gee, that image scale is huge Anthony!

Is that with the 5x barlow?

Very nice, cant wait for the rings to open up more.

Cheers

Thanks Chris, this is about 1.25x real size, using the 5x powermate with extension tubes to get to about 7x.

The rings ought to start opening up again now that we're past opposition.

cheers, Bird

Wow, that's a beauty. Lots of detail and great colors. Very interesting storm too - maybe something impacted Saturn :D.
